Weddings are typically seen as a sign of love between two citizens and a new beginning in living in today's society. They were, however, much more than that in the past. Union festivities were customarily special occasions that involved not only the few but also their households and frequently the complete neighborhood.

Numerous intriguing traditions can be found in the Balkans after relationship. Some of them are nonetheless intact, while others have been abandoned in the modern age.
